Ray Moneypenny

Ray Moneypenny, LCSW-C is a board-certified supervisor for social workers in Maryland seeking to earn hours towards their certified license! 

Ray is a collaborative and empathetic supervisor, and can help you grow your clinical skills and confidence in many areas. They specialize in working with adolescents and adults with complex and relational trauma, LGBTQ identities with a focus on transgender issues, BDSM-, non-monogamy-, and sex-positive individual and couples’ therapy, and neurodivergent-affirming spaces. Ray’s practice is intersectional and acknowledges all systemic oppressions in the therapy and supervisory space, as well as their impact on emotional safety and healing. 

In addition to clinical practice, Ray has worked as an educator for over 15 years. They have presented at local and regional conferences on transgender and Queer issues, and have run varied peer consultation groups for clinicians at all levels of expertise in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and alternative relationships. Their identities as a Queer, non-binary, and transgender clinician may also be important to supervisees navigating professional spaces as a queer person, or simply looking to work with someone in community.
